Can I limit who joins?
Yes. Set a cap, turn on "host approves" with a question like "What do you make?", or leave it open. You can pause, transfer or archive a group anytime.
What about risky activities like trail runs?
Mark the group as higher-risk and members accept a short waiver before they RSVP. Hosts of higher-risk activities should still carry their own activity waiver and insurance.
Someone listed my group as "Listed by Show Up". How do I claim it?
We seed each city with groups that already meet publicly, with a clear "unclaimed" label. Open the group, tap "Claim it", and verify with an Instagram DM code or your venue listing. It takes about two minutes.
