Privacy policy
Last updated October 5, 2026. This is a plain-language draft for launch. Have a Florida attorney review it before the App Store submission.
Who we are
Show Up is made by Wildboxapps LLC, Orlando, Florida. Contact: privacy@showupclubs.com.
What we collect
- Phone number, to sign you in with a text code. Never shown to other members.
- Name, last initial, photo and a short bio, shown to people going to the same gatherings.
- Birthday, only to confirm you're 18 or older. Never shown.
- Location, while you use the app, to show nearby groups and to confirm check-ins within about 150 meters of a venue. We never show anyone your live location.
- Instagram handle, optional, shared only when you and another checked-in attendee both tap Keep in touch.
- RSVPs, check-ins, feedback and reports, to run gatherings, reliability scores and safety reviews.
- Host verification selfie, matched to the profile photo and then deleted.
- Purchases for Host Pro, processed by Apple. We never see your card.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads based on it.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't run a feed, so there is nothing to optimize for your attention.
Who sees what
Other members see your first name, last initial, photo and bio only once you're both going to the same gathering, and first names only until check-in. Hosts see the roster for their own gatherings. Private feedback goes only to the host, without your name on reports.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS in the United States), text codes are sent through Twilio, and purchases are handled by Apple. Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job.
Deleting your account
Delete your account from Settings in the app. Groups you host must be transferred or archived first. Your profile, RSVPs and Keep in touch records are deleted within 30 days; safety reports are kept in anonymized form.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
